On 21st September 2015, National People’s Congress Standing Committee Deputy Secretary-General and Basic Law Committee Chairman Mr. Li Fei, Shenzhen Municipal People’s Congress deputy director Mr. Gao Zhenhuai, deputy director-general of the Justice Department of Guangdong Province Mr. Liang Zhen, Deputy Director General of Authority of Qianhai Shenzhen-Hongkong modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone of Shenzhen Administration of Qianhai Bay Bonded Port of Shenzhen Mr. Tang Shaojie, Deputy Director General of Justice Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality Mr. Xu Peng, Vice President of Guangdong Lawyers Association Mr. Chen Xikang, President of Shenzhen Lawyers Association Mr. Gao Shu and a few other Chinese Government Officials have visited our China Commercial Lam Lee Lai (Qianhai) Law Firm (“HSLLL”) for a meeting in which the governmental officials and others Sino-HK joint venture law firms have had a constructive exchange regarding the cooperation between lawyers of Mainland China and Hong Kong. HSLLL’s Partners Mr. Shu Weidong, Mr. Ambrose Lam and Ms. Wang Shouqun were also present at the reception reporting. This is the second time that Deputy Secretary-General MR. Li Fei has visited HSLLL, while Mr. Liang presides at the said Forum.
HSLLL was the first to report to Mr. Li Fei and the audience regarding various performances of HSLLL over the past year since its incorporation. HSLLL also suggested to establish a Hong Kong Industry Alliance, World Wide Chinese Lawyers Alliance, and other research centers specialize in studying the “One Belt, One Road” in practice. Later in the meeting, each of the other joint-venture law firms had also reported their performances and briefed the audience about the practical difficulties they have encountered.
While Mr. Gao has correctly pointed that there are 4000 businesses currently registered in Qianhai, as a result of which Mr. Gao and Mr. Li both emphasized in their speeches respectively that it creates unlimited possibilities and freedom for developments for the Sino-HK joint-venture legal industry in Qianhai. Mr. Li further pointed out that we have to make good use of the well-established and vibrant Hong Kong trade market for the continual growth of “One Belt, One Road” policy and legal industry in Qianhai.
During the meeting, each of the government officials who gave a speech had praised HSLLL and its team for being innovative and a pioneer of its legal service platform. With our maxim “Law Creates Value” in mind, HSLLL wish to keep on moving forward with our legal system and ever-changing society.
