Why I choose to be a lawyer?

Law has always fascinated me. I am passionate about studying law because law is omniscient in our daily lives. Law is an all-encompassing notion and forms the backbone of the modern society. It is therefore crucial to learn how law works. My interest in law originated from my love for reading and discussing current affairs with friends. Before studying law, by reading daily news, I learnt that penalty does not necessarily equate to punishment or imprisonment. It could also be for restitution and/or rehabilitation. This further sparks my interest in studying law and becoming a lawyer.
