Xiong’an New Area development is China’s grand plan to build an international metropolis and this development can be compared to that of Shenzhen Economic Zone and Shanghai’s Pudong New Area. It is expected that the New Area will operate as a new growth pole for country’s economy and create new development model.
After the announcement of this plan, many people would like to visit this previously unknown province and Mr. Lam had the opportunity to visit this New Area with representatives from Qianhai Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce on May 15 for a 1-week site visit to understand the local culture and potential development of this New Area.
In this site visit, they visited Hebei Municipal Lawyers Association, Hebei Tourism Investment Group, Baoding City CPPCC and they
concluded their journey by visiting Xiong Country.
Through this site visit, apart from having a deeper understanding towards this New Area, we also explored and found out the development opportunities in this New Area. During the visit, Mr. Lam signed an agreement with Paramount Law Firm, the only firm in Hebei Province that provided foreign-related legal services and we will co-operate to provide legal services in the near future. With the development of this New Area, Mr. Lam and the Chamber will actively participate in the development and construction of this New Area, while our firm and our partner firms will have the chance to provide legal services for the development of this New Area and assist enterprises to set up business in the Area.
