Why I choose to be a lawyer?
Growing up, I have always felt that law and order are the basic building blocks of a fair society. As I learnt more about this field, I realised that the beauty of the law lies in the intricate balance between regulation and freedom, which could be both contradicting and complementing at the same time. I reckon while different roles in a community can equally reflect their part in
upholding justice, lawyers represent as the most direct participants. They anchor in a unique position to help individuals and firms with their legal problems, settling disputes and protecting their personal rights. On a higher level, law practitioners have the opportunity to champion legal causes for the greater good of the public, assisting those in need of fair treatment in front of the court bench. It is of such reasons that I have decided to pursuit a career in law, to play my part and contribute to our reputable institutional framework.
