On 30 October 2015, the 2nd Preparation Conference for Shenzhen Qianhai-Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce (QHHKCC) (“Conference”) was held at the office building of The Authority of Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone of Shenzhen. The conference was hosted by the former president of Hong Kong Law Society, who is also the managing partner of joint venture law firm China Commercial Lam Lee Lai (Qianhai) Law Firm, Mr. Ambrose Lam.
The conference is honored to invite the Business Promotion Director of Authority of Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone of Shenzhen, Mr. Rong Weihua; the Director of Shenzhen Liaison Unit, HKSAR, Ms. Cathy Li, and representatives from more than 30 departments and enterprises in Hong Kong, which including: Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), Hong Kong Industry and Commerce Association, China Merchants Group, Chou Tai Fook Enterprises, The Chinese Gold & Silver Exchange Society, Kerry Properties Limited, Man Wah Holdings, New World Development Company Limited, Synergy Group, Hong Kong Satellite TV Group, Novel Park Group, Yongle Media, HSBC, Bank of East Asia, Hang Seng Bank, PWC and KPMG.
Mr. Rong Weihua expressed his strong support to the organization of the QHHKCC. He expected that the QHHKCC will play an important role in deepening the corporation between Hong Kong and Shenzhen, and further promote the industry integration between Hong Kong and Shenzhen. QHHKCC is under the charge of the Authority of Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone of Shenzhen. By being incorporated as a corporation aggregate, basing on the cooperation between Hong Kong and Shenzhen, relying on the Hong Kong enterprises in Qianhai & Shekou area, QHHKCC is expected to serve Hong Kong enterprises, and boost the development of Qianhai area.
During the Conference, Mr. Shu Weidong, who is the responsible officer of preparatory group of QHHKCC and the director of the China Commercial Lam Lee Lai (Qianhai) Law Firm, has reported the process of the preparation group. The representatives of participating units also expressed their opinions and suggestions regarding the constitution, framework, and operating system of the QHHKCC.
The participating units showed their high enthusiasm and confidence in the organization of the QHHKCC, at the same time, they all expressed their fully support to the preparation for the QHHKCC, ensuring that the preparation will be successfully completed.
As the initiator of QHHKCC, China Commercial Lam Lee Lai (Qianhai) Law Firm has every confidence in QHHKCC’s success in integrating resource, deepening Hong Kong and Shenzhen Cooperation, and expanding mainland market for Hong Kong enterprises, and merging the industries.
